Self-Parking at the Hotel for $12.  Also various parking lots and metered parking surrounding the hotel area.

The event is FREE but you need to register as limited seating is available.

The National Society Hispanic MBA's (NSHMBA) - Cleveland chapter invites you to be our special guest as we recognize our Corporate and Academic Partners who have helped us carry out our mission to foster Hispanic Leadership through graduate management education and professional develpment in 2009. 

Our evening program will consist of a networking hour, hors d'oeuvres, Keynote Speaker, recognition, presentation of the 2010 board, raffles, and dancing to close out the evening.

Great opportunity to network with our Keynote Speaker, chapter leaders/members and professionals throughout Northeast Ohio.

 

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:  

Ramón Surís Fernández, Esq.;   Director for the Civil Rights Center

U.S. Department of Labor - Washington D.C

Ramón Surís Fernández was sworn in on April 28, 2008 as the Director for the Civil Rights Center, Department of Labor. He is responsible for administering the Department of Labor's Internal (Title VII) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs and ensuring Equal Opportunity (EO) in the Department's financially assisted and conducted (Title VI) programs.

Mr. Surís-Fernández’s leadership in civil rights includes serving as the Director of Diversity, EO Strategic Planning and Programs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). As a member of NASA's cadre of Senior Executive Service leaders, Mr. Surís-Fernández was responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating agency-wide all matters pertaining to diversity strategic planning and implementation, technical assistance and voluntary compliance regarding NASA's assisted and conducted programs, as well as equal opportunity programs advocacy and training.

Mr. Surís-Fernández was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He received his BA degree with a double major in economics and management, and his Juris Doctor degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He completed postgraduate legal studies at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C., where he received a Masters in Labor Law (LLM).

The Cleveland NSHMBA Chapter was established in 2007 as a non-profit 501c3 organization.  The Chapter has over 100 student & professional members.  Our members consist of diverse professional backgrounds: marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, health care and management. 

 

MISSION:

The Cleveland Chapter's mission is to promote leadership, development and networking opportunities for Hispanic business professionals in Northeastern Ohio.

VISION:

The goal of our Chapter is to make an immediate impact on the development and visibility of Hispanic professionals, MBAs and students in Northeastern Ohio by:

• Working with students and universities to increase the enrollment of Hispanics in graduate management programs;

• Assisting corporations and other business organizations in the recruitment, development and promotion of Hispanic business professionals;

Organizing as well as participating in networking and community events to provide Hispanic professionals with opportunities for career growth, leadership development and entrepreneurship.
